For some, going no contact with family can be a difficult decision, especially when cultural and religious traditions tell you that family comes first, no matter what or how you feel. If you’re considering, or are already navigating, life in estrangement from your family, you’re not alone, and you’re not betraying your culture by choosing your peace.

We understand the unique pressures you are likely facing and the complexity of this decision. I specialize in supporting those going no-contact through their journey while also honoring the parts of our culture that truly serve us. You may be looking for a space to practice navigating safely with your family. 

How We Can Help

Together, we’ll work through the grief over wishing for something you needed but never had, while processing guilt about “abandoning” family despite their unacknowledged abuse and toxicity. We’ll focus on breaking harmful generational cycles while preserving positive traditions, so that you can learn to distinguish between authentic cultural values and toxic family patterns. If you wish to stay in connection with your family and need support in figuring out what to do. Therapy with us is an excellent opportunity to begin choosing yourself on every level of disengagement.

OUR PROCESS

1. Book A Free Consultation

This 15-minute service is designed to allow you the opportunity to meet the therapist that you'll be working with, provide brief insight of the problem you’re facing, and discuss your hopes for therapy. During that time, you can ask questions about the therapeutic process and share your goals for therapy.

2. Complete New Client Paperwork

After your consultation, you will receive new client forms to complete in order to begin our work together. Once your paperwork has been completed, our team will send a welcome packet and confirm your intake appointment date and time.

3. Complete Intake Session

During your intake appointment, we will gather historical information and begin establishing your goals and curate a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your desired outcome. This session is where we lay the groundwork for the journey ahead.
