What Clients Have To Say

Healing is Possible

Traumatic experiences can leave you feeling disconnected and powerless. Trauma robs you of your peace, and it can take years to recover from the impact, but with intentional and consistent care, IT’S POSSIBLE. Every week, I work with clients who are committed to doing the essential, challenging work of rewriting their stories and reclaiming their existence.

Who Am I

I'm a mom and happily married to my best friend. I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and moved to the DFW in 2018. When I'm not doing this work, you can find me with my family and our fur babies, Cookie and Rocko, or at a concert, festival or some distant destination with my passport in hand. I absolutely love music (R&B me please!), kick-backs and game-nights with friends, food and good vibes.

Special Offerings

In my continued efforts to deconstruct spirituality and decolonize the therapy space, I offer tarot readings as an optional service before or after sessions by request.

My Why

I believe in therapy. When I came out of a domestic violence situation, I was traumatized and broken. I was a young mom confused and overwhelmed with anxiety and grief on so many levels and therapy helped me find my way back to myself. It helped me make sense of my experiences, and it made me realized that we don't have to live life is distress and I love seeing that realization awaken in others.

Supporting you as you navigate the complexities of trauma.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TRAUMA

Black people and People of Color in this country have suffered immeasurably through racism directly and indirectly. The trauma that we carry from the generations of our peace, safety, relationships, and quality of life. It’s systemic, and it’s everywhere. We hear all of these statistics about how we are the “most likely to” but rarely do you hear how directly these statistics are connected to our trauma and the day-to-day impacts that living in a world designed against us has on our health and well-being. The suicide rates in our community are rising, and WE ARE IN CRISIS! Trauma impacts us on a neurological level and lasts for 3 generations; it literally changes you, and that trauma is affecting your life, relationships, ability to cope with life stressors, self-esteem, rest patterns, and overall health and wellness.

Through intentional work and commitment to the therapeutic process, we see results. In my work with couples, I support partners with building a space of trust and safety, rooted in love and understanding. I show them how to learn the language their partner speaks and how to better communicate in ways that reduce conflict. It’s time to write the love story that feels like 90s R&B to you.

It’s time for your EVOLUTION. If you’re ready, schedule your consultation today!

OUR PROCESS

1. Book A Free Consultation

This 15 minute service is designed to allow you the opportunity to meet the therapist that you will be working with, provide brief insight on the problem you’re facing, and discuss your hopes for therapy. During that time, you can ask questions about the therapeutic process, and share your goals for therapy.

2. Complete New Client Paperwork

After your consultation, you will receive new client forms to complete in order to begin our work together. Once your paperwork has been completed, our team will send a welcome packet which will confirm your intake appointment date and time.

3. Complete Intake Session

During your intake appointment, we will gather historical information and begin establishing your goals so that we can curate a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your desired outcome. This session is where we lay the groundwork for the journey ahead.
