upcoming weekly topics

4 Weeks of Healing, Growth & Community

This is an interactive group therapy that gently encourages engagement.

Week 1: Embracing Change & New Beginnings

In week 1, we'll explore the question 'Who am I, now?' and discuss identity and changes that have led you to where you are. We will explore how cultural and spiritual identities can guide us, as well as ways labels may have caused harm. A vision board activity will be part of this session along with poetry, music, sound therapy, spoken word, journaling or art media.

Week 2: Grief Within the Black Experience & Boundaries

In week 2, we'll explore discussions around grief regarding loss, estrangement, racism, and workplace stress. The impact of change and coping with stressors will be highlighted. We will also discuss boundaries — what it means to set healthy boundaries, when to set them, and how to accept when others set them for you. Poetry, music, sound therapy, spoken word, journaling or art media will be part of this session.

Week 3: Relationships & Friendships

In week 3, we explore discussions around relationships and process topics of love, loss, and grief in romance, family, and friendships. We will discuss ways of identifying safety when building romantic and platonic relationships and how to show up in ways that benefit us and those involved while we heal. Poetry, music, sound therapy, spoken word, journaling or art media will be part of this session.

Week 4: Mental Health, Self-Care & Spirituality

In our closing session we are de-stigmatizing how to care for your mental health, exploring mental health diagnosis, and identifying ways to support ourselves. We will discuss how to find safety in healing, aspects of self-care that get overlooked, and the role spirituality can play in both helping and harming our self-identities. We will revisit 'Who am I, now?' and explore examples of identity transitions.

a client story

Real Results. Real Healing.

Candace is great and this group is exactly what I needed! She always has something very intuitive but also in a therapeutic way. She always has so much to offer and she always provides something to keep the healing going, even when it gets hard. She is by far one of the very best I have experienced.
